Rockstar Acknowledges GTA V

Post by Psyman on 25/10/2011, 14:37

This is one of those stories that should surprise exactly no one, though it does have a nifty little twist. Rockstar Games has officially confirmed the existence of the long-rumored next installment in its Grand Theft Auto Series. Rather than calling it Grand Theft Auto: Duluth or Grand Theft Auto: Moon Colony Zeta, Rockstar is skipping right ahead to a nice numbered title. Better still, it looks as though you'll be able to see a trailer for the game in just a matter of days.

Rockstar revealed the game's official logo on its site, along with the news that a trailer is coming November 2. That's November 2, 2011, which is just a few days from now. Surprise!

Hope they add a little more 'TBOGT' to it to bring back some of the fun and craziness lost in vanilla GTA 4.

wow, I can't wait to see the new trailer...I would like to see the player to be able to make their own decisions (kinda like in GTA) , buy houses and customise them and pimp cars up... etc...

As long as I can still run over prostitutes I don't care what they do. Very Happy

As long as I can still bang them in some back alley when parked up and then kill them and get my money back I will be getting it. I want multiple bangs for my buck lol!

On a serious note I've loved every one and I hope they can do something special with number 5. But they do have a very tough act to to follow!

4 was the best one. It had a proper storyline. I just hope 5 will be more interactive. 4 looked great but there wasnt enough to do imo., not even stores or buildings to go in to.

IV had loads of other stuff going on. You could go into the comedy store and see Ricky Gervias do stand up or go to the club and see a magic show. You could go to the bars and pubs and play darts or pool. Hit the bowling alley, go on dates with the ladies. There was quite a few clothing stores to shop in. The strip club and getting a lap dance, the arcade machine. Not to mention the police missons, the friend mission and the stranger missions. Plus the races, stunts, drug delivery and car theft.

Guess you were to busy killing all those prostitutes. Razz

For me GTA IV was the best one to date!

Sure it follows in the footsteps of the other games which were so great at the time but I still have fun with GTA IV Cool

I think the best themed one was vice city, that had 80's written all over it! was so easy to see it was 80's...equally...for me probably the best radio stations...probably tied with san andreas...that had some tunes! I like san andreas map possibly the best... however overall... I think I like GTA 4 the best! Very Happy

Pound for pound, arguably vice city was the best. I just loved gta 4 cause its story was stronger and it was more mature.

Vice City was my favorite, though IV kind of was as well since it tooka more serious grown up approach and relied on story more, and it was way less arcady.

I think thats why i didnt like it as it took itself way too serious, whereas San Andreas was just a laugh a minute.

I confess, I didn't play San Andreas! Neutral. I liked the off the wall arcadyness of vice city. I like both styles actually but iv was a fresh breath of air that the series might have needed. The only thing I hated from iv was the lack of exploration and side missions. They didn't make it as open world like the previous. I hope this new one has lots of interactivity with doors, buildings, objects, etc. In iv, it felt like everything was off limits
