I just keep on losing money no matter what stocks I buy.... lol!
ive done some reading up about this and found this

1. Invest in one of the automobile firms, then cruise around destroying your rivals' cars. The end result will see sale of your cars go up and your stocks rise.

2. Buying cheap stock is a tycoon's dream scenario and to do so in GTA V is easy. Simply apply the reverse tactic to our first tip. For example, if you shoot down a plane the stocks for that company plummet. Buy those stocks cheap then shoot your rivals planes down to re-inflate your stock value.

3. Buy into guns or ammo in the early days. These stocks should go through the roof as gamers get their hands on weapons.

4. Listen closely to the radio and character dialogue for stock tips.

5. Assassination missions provided by Lester always tell you how some stock will be affected if you bump off a rival CEO.

I have read the best possible install config for Xbox is to have the INSTALL disc installed on a USB FLASH DRIVE. Obviously a decent spec speedy one, 16gb at least. And install the PLAY disc on your XBOX HDD. Apparently this gives you the best possible gaming experience and resolves a lot of problems people have been having.

Havent tried it myself yet, but I aint really had any problems yet. I have the install disc on my HDD and am just running the play disc the old fashined way. Have seen a bit of pop-in etc but no majour issues. Am gonna try the above gonfig simply to see if it improves the pop-in etc, and to save wear and tear on my poor old disc drive.

Heres the link that will explain things better then my dumb ass can ............. CLICKY

Re: GTA 5

Post by wezbloke on 21/9/2013, 10:11

They said dont install it on the HDD along side the install disc. If both are installed on the same drive it causes issues while the xbox is trying to read info from both installs off the same drive. Basically it gets confused.

As long as the installs are on opposite drives it should be fine. Some peeps have gone with the install disc on hdd and play disc on a usb. Others the opposite way, which has been reported as the optimal way.

Like I said aint tried this myself, the difference from running the play disc from your disc drive may be minimal. But if anyone is experiencing freezing or severe frame rate/graphical issues, it's probably worth a shot Very Happy

Re: GTA 5

Post by SirReal Madrid on 21/9/2013, 14:10

curious if its installing disc 2 on its own. After disc 1 (install disc) is finished installing, it prompts me to insert disc 2. After 15 seconds or so of disc 2 being in the disc tray it says "install complete". So, now Im assuming it installed disc 2??? Is this right? If not, how does one go about not involuntarily installing disc 2??

Re: GTA 5

Post by wezbloke on 21/9/2013, 17:55

Everything i've read online, and the thread I posted above suggests:

Install Both INSTALL and PLAY discs to the same storage Device (HDD or USB) yields >
Lowest Performance Quality (long load times and various graphical errors and glitches) Not Recommended

Install the INSTALL Disc to a Drive (USB or internal HDD) and Play off the the PLAY disc without installation of the PLAY disc. Yields >
Reduces or minimises graphical errors and glitches as well as reduces or removes most framerate problems .The Rockstar approved method.

Install the INSTALL disc to the HDD and the PLAY disc to a USB device.
Yields >
Near optimal experience with an even greater reduction in load times and graphical problems. Resulted from separate asset locations each with faster read speeds. Recommended through anecdotal evidence.

Install the INSTALL Disc to a USB device and the PLAY disc to the Internal HDD Yields >
Best and most optimal results. HDD has the fastest read speed and the PLAY disc is accessed more frequently while taking advantage of the coding to utilise separate sources for the games assets, resulting in fastest load times and minimal graphical imperfections overall. Most recommended option.

Hmmm, I thought installing play disc was a bad idea? I have nothing to lose and will try the latter (install disc on usb, play disc on hdd).

Re: GTA 5

Post by SixenSix on 21/9/2013, 18:42

Absolutely hooked on this game! I've been a gamer ever since Pong came out when I was about 10 and I've literally completed hundreds of games since then, but I have never been a GTA fan. First one I ever gave a chance was GTA IV. Played it for about 20 hours and lost interest. It was good, but I just didn't have the desire to continue with it. This one however is better in every single way. Better gun controls, better car handling, better story etc etc. Have completed about 24% of it and loving every single minute cheers

PS. Hope U get the problem sorted out Spec, coz this game keeps on getting better and better Very Happy

Re: GTA 5

Tried the 'Install the INSTALL Disc to a USB device and the PLAY disc to the Internal HDD' config today. Works great!! I wasn't having any graphical problems anyway, or at least I didn't notice any. But still wanted to try this.

There's probably less pop-in now, but I didn't find it that bad to begin with. The biggest difference is the loading times. It loads the game much quicker, and switching from one character to another is also much quicker.
